A new high-quality business park for Wychavon Town
Climate-conscious design
The proposed employment site is being designed with sustainability at its core, targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating and an EPC A energy performance certificate. This essentially means that the buildings have been carefully designed to use less energy and water, create less waste, and be better for the environment overall. This eco-conscious approach reflects a commitment to creating high-quality workspaces that minimise environmental impact while maximising energy performance.

Our energy commitment
We are committed to a sustainable development that uses less energy, runs efficiently, and supports the move towards low-carbon power. Our approach follows the energy hierarchy of be lean, be clean, be green:
- Be lean – reduce energy use through good insulation, efficient lighting and well-designed buildings
- Be clean – use modern, efficient heating and hot water systems and limit energy waste
- Be green – maximise opportunities for on-site renewable energy. This could involve solar panels and low-carbon heat sources
Together, these steps help to cut carbon emissions and keep energy costs down over the long term.
Prioritising active travel
While this proposal focuses on delivering high-quality employment space, it forms part of a wider masterplan that prioritises sustainable movement. Future phases, including new homes, will be designed around active travel routes, making walking, cycling and public transport the easiest ways to get around.
The site sits on a key corridor between Worcestershire Parkway station and Worcester and will feature nature pathways that connect homes, jobs and services. These landscaped routes will encourage healthier lifestyles and reduce car dependency, helping to create a well-connected and environmentally conscious community.

Enhancing the natural environment
As part of the plans, the proposals will provide a network of landscaped open spaces and natural drainage features that help manage rainfall across the site. These include planted areas, swales and ponds that slow the flow of water, reduce flood risk and improve the site’s overall climate resilience.
Alongside managing water naturally, these green spaces create a more attractive environment, offering places for people to walk, relax and enjoy nature.

Online survey
It’s important that we understand the priorities and views of local residents to help shape the final plans when they are submitted to Wychavon District Council this winter. Have your say on the proposals by completing our online survey by Friday 2 January 2026.
